Download Heroes Episodes - Without Torrents
This is pretty much for all the Davis people, but anyone can use it. We can’t use torrents here so I’ll be downloading/uploading them from home. Expect the episodes to be up the day after they air. All downloads will be posted on the ImportantWesbite.com forums under the Downloads section. You can find the direct link to that here.
The only catch is that you have to register, which shouldn’t take more than a minute. We have to make you register so the episodes don’t get indexed by Google. And since you’re going to be members already to download, feel free to post in the forum.
Once again, here is the link to the Heroes episodes. If you have any other show for us to upload, feel free to leave a comment and we’ll see what we can do.

Title: The Tick LAS
Starring: Patrick Warburton, David Burke, Nestor Carbonell, Liz Vassey
Created by: Ben Edlund
Plot: A live action adaptation of the comic book character The Tick.
Review: This was a tremendously funny show that was cancelled way before its time. What it did was expanded on and now focused on the more adult elements that were even there in the animated series. It was smart and funny, and if there was a major failing it would be the issue of not being able to use characters created for the animated series.
Sure they changed The Tick’s and Arthur’s personality, but I think it still conveyed the same feelings in general, as well as being more apt for a more adult oriented show.

Title: Fooly Cooly
Starring: Dave Mallow, Kari Wahlgren, L. Villa, Joe Martin, Barbara Goodson, Melissa Fahn, Jennifer Sekiguchi,
Directors: Kazuya Tsurumaki, Masahiko Otsuka, Shouji Saeki, Takeshi Ando
Plot: Events kick off when a strange and mischievous girl named Haruhara Haruko arrives suddenly in town and runs Naota over with her Vespa and then, for no obvious reason, hits him on the head with her Rickenbacker bass guitar. Soon afterwards, Naota discovers that being hit with Haruko’s bass left more than just a bump - it created a large horn that is actually an early manifestation of a robot.
Review: As you can tell from the plot this is a genuinely odd series. This surreal adventure is a something that left me in an awed confusion, and while I did not completely understand what was going on, it was a funny an interesting watch.

Plot: The greatest minds of the world have been cloned and are now attending high school together.
Review: A very funny show that I don’t think deserved to be cancelled. There were so many good actors doing voices, including guest voices. It is absurd premise that just works, making for a show that I thought was funny everytime.

Title: Firefly
Starring: Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau, Ron Glass
Created by: Joss Whedon
Plot: Five hundred years in the future, a renegade crew aboard a small, mobile, spacecraft tries to survive as they travel the unknown parts of the galaxy and evade warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them.
Review: This is one of the best shows ever to be canceled. A strange mix of sci fi and western that some how managed to come together into something amazing. I remember when this first aired; I saw one episode before it disappeared without even getting a chance to know the show. Thankfully many more shows were filmed than aired and all 14 came together on a DVD release.
What makes this show so great? There is too much to mention. To begin, the cinematography was unique and made the action feel more real, as well as adding a natural feel to the show. It was unique because of the use of pans and zooms during scenes with the Serenity and when on the boarder planets giving it a gritty feeling like it is really happening right then and there in front of you. This is in contrast to the clean and sterile central planets which had typically fixed and “clean” camera work. Firefly also used colors to set moods, with a contrast of earthy warm colors on the boarder to the cool dark and metallic colors. This was even evident on the ship itself with its color divisions allowing many different moods to be felt on the ship.
Firefly also had something about it that made it feel deep, and made, at least me, as a viewer really care about the characters and the problems they faced. Much of this came from the characters, normally 9 main characters might detract but in Firefly as a series I think that the characters were superbly developed and even when there were gaps in development this only added to the mythos of the series such as with River Tam and even more so I would contend with the mystery of Rev. Book. While the characters definitely played a big role in how well this show resonated with the viewer, the music of firefly was an extremely powerful aspect. In the first moments of the first episode both of theses can be seen when Mal is standing at the close of the first scene. Probably the best example of the music though was in the episode “The Message”. I don’t want a give it away so just watch the series.
I could talk about so much more that made this show great but ill stop now cause the sooner your done reading this the sooner you can go out and buy the firefly DVD set.

Title: South Park
Airing: Comedy Central Wednesdays at 10
Starring: Trey Parker, Matt Stone
Plot: Follows the misadventures of four irreverent grade-schoolers in the quiet, dysfunctional town of South Park, Colorado.
Review: South Park is a very interesting show. Taking on all society and current events this show holds no punches. While I enjoy this that they aren’t afraid to take these issues on, often I find that their approach is a little too “in your face” for my style. As I have said before, a bit much in the “poo poo, wee wee” for my tastes. Even with this though, I still usually enjoy the episodes and aside from the occasional “horrible episode” they are fairly consistent.
The animation style, while different, is well done and particularly lately has improved a great deal. I think that it is cool that they do most of the voices by themselves, however being on as long as it has; sometimes you realize who is doing what voice. Now, normally I enjoy knowing who is behind the character, except with so few voice actors it can be annoying to here the same person doing two different characters. This is probably a problem for no one but me.
Besides serious social issues South Park also takes on the mundane, such as in their most recent episode which dealt with World of Warcraft. This episode, besides being hilarious in its nerdity, showed their ability to accept different media. The World of Warcraft segments were greatly animated and fit the episode extremely well. This most recent episode also showcased South Park’s ability to lampoon a subject no matter how mundane it may be.
Warcraft Exec #1: Fellow board members, we have a problem. Somebody in the World of Warcraft is ignoring the world’s rules and is going around killing innocent players.
Warcraft President: Why kill innocent players? The game is about finishing quests.
Warcraft Exec #2: We got to delete him from the server!
Warcraft Exec #1: We can’t. Whoever this player is has played Warcraft so much, that he has reached a level we thought unreachable. He’s actually able to kill our admins! And he grows stronger every day!
Warcraft Exec #3: Jesus!
Jim: I’ve got to get home; my kids are playing World of Warcraft right now!
Warcraft Exec #1: Jim, Your kid’s characters are all ready dead.
Jim: No, no. They just started playing!
(Jim starts crying)
Warcraft Exec #2: What kind of person would do this?
Warcraft Exec #1: Only one kind, whoever this person is, he has played World of Warcraft nearly every hour of every day for the past year and a half! Gentlemen, we are dealing with someone here who has absolutely no life.
Warcraft Exec #3: How can you kill that which has no life?
While I may not always agree with their political views south park is usually a pretty enjoyable show, and I have to respect Trey Parker and Matt Stone, even in instances such as the scientology incident they stuck to their principals. You have probably seen an episode in its 13 season run, and based on it you probably can judge whether or not you would enjoy the rest of the episodes. I think that even with the occasional stupidity it’s a funny show which generally manages to please albeit the occasional downfall.

Title: Gargoyles
Originally Aired On: Disney
Starring: Keith David, Salli Richardson, Jeff Bennett, Bill Fagerbakke, Thom Adcox-Hernandez, Brigitte Bako, Ed Asner, Frank Welker, Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes
Plot: The series features a clan of warrior creatures known as Gargoyles that turn to stone during the day. Led by their leader Goliath in the year 994 A.D., they protect Castle Wyvern and its resident humans on the coast of Scotland until betrayal causes a massacre of the clan and a magic spell forces the six survivors into stone sleep, until the castle rises over the clouds. In 1994, a billionaire named David Xanatos purchases the castle and moves it to the top of his New York City skyscraper, breaking the spell. Awakening in modern day Manhattan, the gargoyles must adapt to this new world as they vow to protect the citizens of New York.
Review: This show was one of the greatest things to ever come out of Disney. I found this show enjoyable on so many levels; it is hard to describe its awesomeness. First, the development of this show was wonderfully deep. Thankfully this seemed much more mature than your typical Disney show. The characters are really well developed and not only are the characters well developed to begin with, this development continued throughout the story. The fact that it was so complex made it felt like a real genuine thing and makes you think of this as a real world.
Another aspect which I enjoyed was the mythology of Gargoyles, as it incorporated many myths from different cultures and even the incorporation of Shakespearean characters and stories. There is just something I really enjoyed about this and made the stories of the show all that much more intricate and “real”. Sadly this show only lasted three seasons, thankfully the second being unnaturally long. The third season was a little different but it kept in the general spirit of the show and I was happy to see that much more of these characters.
There is also something that I cannot overlook in the sense of the voice actors in this series. Courtesy of wiki, a list of characters with connection to Star Trek:
- Marina Sirtis (Counsellor Deanna Troi on ST: TNG) as the morally ambiguous Demona
- Jonathan Frakes (Commander William Riker on ST: TNG) as David Xanatos, who also bears a resemblance to the actor
- Kate Mulgrew (Captain Kathryn Janeway on ST: VOY) as Titania
- Michael Dorn (Lieutenant Worf on ST: TNG and ST: DS9 and Colonel Worf in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) as Coldstone and Taurus
- Brent Spiner (Commander Data, Lore, Noonien Soong, on ST: TNG, B4 on Star Trek: Nemesis, and Arik Soong on Star Trek: Enterprise) as Puck
- Nichelle Nichols (Commander Uhura on ST: TOS) as Diane Maza
- David Warner (St. John Talbot in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Klingon Chancellor Gorkon in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and Gul Madred in the ST: TNG episode “Chain of Command” Parts 1 and 2) as the Archmage
- Paul Winfield (Captain Clark Terrell in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Tamarian Captain Dathon in ST: TNG episode Darmok) as Jeffrey Robbins
- Avery Brooks (Captain Benjamin Sisko on ST: DS9) as Nokkar
- Colm Meaney (Miles O’Brien on ST: TNG and ST: DS9) as Mr. Dugan
- LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge on ST: TNG) as Anansi
- John Rhys-Davies (Leonardo da Vinci on ST: VOY) as Macbeth
Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard on ST: TNG) was also considered for the role of Macbeth.
You all know how much of a nerd I am for this kind of stuff. In conclusion of this little review I just have to say that this was a great show that deserves a chance from anyone who might enjoy its mythology or extremely well developed story.
